George H. Meeker, ARM
George became a senior risk management associate of Montclair Risk Advisors in 2006, after retiring from the Cornell University Medical College in New York City, where he was their Director of Risk Management. George brings to our practice 20 years of experience in higher education and hospital professional liability risk management and 10 more years of claim and safety experience.
At the Cornell University Medical College George was responsible for the property/casualty insurance and loss control programs covering over 30 clinical practice offices throughout New York City. Additionally, he served on the underwriting and claim committees of MCIC, a Vermont-domiciled risk retention group that insured the medical professional liabilities of the Cornell University Medical College and nine other university medical centers and medical schools.
Before that George was the Director of Risk Management of Cornell University at their main campus in Ithaca, New york.
George started his career as a multi-line claim adjuster. He then joined one of the largest independent third party claim administration companies, eventually becoming a branch manager.
George has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York, where he also completed graduate studies. He is an Associate in Risk Managment "ARM."
