In Memoriam

I want to express my sincere condolences to the families, friends and coworkers of all of the innocent and good people who perished in the attack on the World Trade Center and our Nation's Capitol. I would like to recognize the following risk management people whom I knew and worked with in the New York City insurance community.

Tony Demas, Aon Global Services, who gave me my start in risk management 27 years ago. Last seen high up on World Trade Center Tower II urging his coworkers to evacuate. He was a great boss and a source of moral support to me in recent months.

Howard Kestenbaum, Aon Risk Services, who performed a consulting job for me in my rookie year as a risk manager -- and for 17 years was a fellow rider on the DeCamp bus line into the City. I will miss our early morning walks from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and seeing him at Montclair High ball games.

Daphne Pouletsos, Aon Risk Services was a coworker at Emett & Chandler. An expert in matters pertaining to Risk Information Management Systems, she was a great asset to me early in my career.

Donna Giordanno and John Niven, Aon. They had just provided me renewal quotes for one of my clients. Jim Hoban and Chuck Mathers, Marsh. I worked on generation outage projects with them. I will not forget what they did for me and will miss doing business with them.
